‘Paradise’ is an uplifting celebration of vitality, exquisite flora and fauna and luscious painting. In the haven of South Devon, with the expansive and bright gallery opening out to its summer garden, Velarde offers us the ideal environment to curate a life affirming immersion in colour, light and the senses. A hot house of devotional images of nature and vivid paintings of humankind adorned with creatures of the sky and rocks and surrounded by abundant flowers and lush terrains. 

Curated around recent work by Jesse Leroy Smith, we have invited artists that share our new vision for the gallery experience, have a rapport with his work and have their own distinctive voice.

Artists include;  Michael Angove, Richard Ballinger, Anthony Garratt, Mhairi Treharne, Fleckner, Lucianna Whittle, Jacques Nimki, Soma Bognar, Sharon Purves and Sethe Smith.
